Poussu’s school
The school was closed in the spring of 2001 and the town sold it to entrepreneurs. The school’s students moved to Sänkikangas.
At Poussu school, a children’s sports club, a club for the elderly, a knitting circle of the community college and the activities of associations, people with intellectual disabilities and scouts were organized. Later, the school was turned into a 10-bed nursing home.
Musicians have also come from Poussu village, such as the Häntäroikka band (Alpo Poussu, Esko Matilainen, Juhani Pölkki, Kaarlo Mursu).
