Lompsi, Kuikka, Lehtovaara, Jokilampi. The village was supposed to become part of Posio in the 1920s, but the residents wanted to stay in Kuusamo, and this is what happened.
Jokilampi is a relaxed and peaceful village community in the heart of Koillismaa; five kilometres from the Lapland County border, 34 kilometres from the centre of Kuusamo and 41 kilometres from the centre of Posio.
President Urho Kekkonen skied from Jokilampi to the neighboring village of Kurkijärvi for coffee.
